If your architect has worked internationally on high-end residential projects, there's a good chance they know the name. What it means for you practically is that the system behind your door is built to a standard that very few manufacturers reach. We start every project with a technical visit — we come to the space, look at the opening, understand the context and talk through the options. That conversation is specific to your project, not a general product presentation. The climate here is generally benign, but you have significant UV exposure and some humidity variation between seasons — both of which need to be accounted for in an exterior wood door. How the steel frame meets the wood, how the glass sits within the composition — all of that is resolved at the design stage so the result is a single coherent element, not a combination of parts that happen to be next to each other.

Both work. We collaborate regularly with architects and interior designers who bring us in at design stage — we work from their drawings and develop the technical specification alongside their team. But we also work directly with property owners who come to us without a design professional involved. In that case we take a more active role in developing the specification from scratch. Either way, the process starts with a technical visit to the space.

Our own installation team manages the on-site phase — we don't subcontract it. Before installation begins, we coordinate with whoever is managing the project on site, whether that's a main contractor, a site manager or the owner directly. We identify access requirements, sequencing with other trades and any specific conditions of the installation in advance. The goal is that our work on site creates no problems for anyone else's work. When we're done, the door is installed, aligned and finished to the agreed specification — there's no snagging list left behind for someone else to resolve.
