CHEMIN BYRON
Contemporary residence in Geneva
Set on a steep hillside within a traditional Geneva neighbourhood, Chemin Byron is a contemporary residence that balances bold architectural expression with a warm and intimate living environment. Designed by Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig in close collaboration with Swiss builders and engineers, the project reflects the precision and craftsmanship for which Swiss architecture is internationally recognised. The exterior composition is defined by sharp-edged steel façades and ultra-slim glass profiles, characteristic of Kundig’s distinctive architectural language. Executed using SL30-ISO® systems, the steel and glass elements provide clarity, structural refinement, and high technical performance while maintaining the purity of the design. The integration of modern architecture within a challenging hillside site demonstrates how advanced steel systems can support ambitious architectural visions without compromising detailing or environmental performance.
